Francesco Orabona received his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering in 2003 from the University of Naples "Federico II", and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Genoa in 2007. In 2007-2009 he was a post-doctoral research scientist at the Idiap Research Institute. In 2010-2011 he was a post-doctoral research scientist at the University of Milan.
His research interests are in the area of theoretically motivated and efficient learning algorithms, with emphasis on online learning, kernel methods, and computer vision.
